June 2nd commemorates the institutional referendum held by universal suffrage in 1946, in which the Italian people were called to the polls to decide on the form of government, following the Second World War and the fall of Fascism. The day is officially the Festa della Repubblica or the Festival of the Republic.

It’s a grand Italian day and what better way to find that little bit of your inner Italian than grabbing a seat at Cafe Tiramisu or Brindisi cucina di Mare. Celebrate the day with some of the tastiest Italian restaurants in all of San Francisco. The weather might even decide to play nice, although Belden Place doesn’t count on it with heating outside for dining al fresco.

The Italian side of Belden Place awaits you with open arms!
